Sofía Jaramillo is a Colombian-American commercial photographer based between Jackson, Wy, and Ketchum, Id. Her work focuses on the intersection between athletes and the environment. Her mission is to tell the stories she wished she'd seen as a kid. Jaramillo got her start in photography working for media outlets like The New York Times, The Guardian and the Associated Press. Additionally, Jaramillo is a film director, and her recent film, Wading For Change, was accepted into various film festivals in 2023, such as Mountain Film, BANFF and the Sun Valley Film Festival.
Jaramillo's work has been published in National Geographic Magazine, and in 2023, she was awarded a National Geographic Explorers grant for her project El Corazon de Los Andes.
